class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More requests, more pressure, more requirements\u2026 but still the same time and resource constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The reason is fairly simple: in 2026, not having an FDES available at the right time can be enough to lose a contract.\nLead times are no longer a technical issue, but a real business risk for manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creating an FDES relies on several successive steps, each of which can become a pressure point: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image and when it is not available, your product is not even considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-acef7726\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">Today, the challenge is no longer just to produce a compliant FDES; it is also about managing to have it at the right time:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The FDES has become a prerequisite for bidding in tenders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It dictates market access, even before any technical or financial comparison is made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The lead time for availability is now part of the equation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you take a close look at the FDES creation process, it quickly becomes clear that the issue is not any single step, but the cumulative workload throughout the journey class=\"uagb-heading-text\">LCA consultancies are under pressure too:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong rise in demand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tightening deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-8bcab79a\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">There is another reality, less visible but very real.<br>With the surge in demand, <strong>the maturity and experience of the LCA partner clearly make a difference<\/strong>, both in terms of lead times and the quality of the FDES produced.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-8b8bdf95\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">Result: <strong><strong><strong>the time you thought you would save initially can be lost later<\/strong>, with a direct impact on your projects and deadlines.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-probleme-n-4-la-verification-devient-votre-point-de-blocage-final\" style=\"padding-top:40px\"><strong><strong><strong>Problem #4: verification becomes your final bottleneck<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color <strong>verified<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it is often at this stage that your lead times stretch even further, for two distinct reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-2fa51d62\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><strong>Risk #1: availability of verifiers<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-24da1a96\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text\">The first risk comes from the capacity of the INIES verification system:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The number of FDES to be verified is increasing sharply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The number of verifiers is increasing as well<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>But the two are not evolving at the same pace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-f8dce01b\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">Result: <strong>the bottleneck shifts<\/strong>, it is no longer only in FDES production, but also in verification.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Even with a well-prepared FDES, <strong>the lead time partly depends on the availability of INIES verifiers<\/strong>, a factor over which you have little control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-570c34dc\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><strong><strong>Risk #2: the quality of FDES produced<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-2f337a01\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">The second risk is often <strong>even more detrimental<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-eb44177a\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">The <strong>verifiers are there to check, not to correct,<\/strong> complete <strong>or even train<\/strong> the person producing your FDES.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-311bed92\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text\">When your FDES goes in for verification with:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>weak assumptions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>inconsistent data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a poorly understood methodological framework<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-e8535702\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text\">In reality, this means:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>additional questions from the INIES verifier <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>requests for justification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>necessary corrections on the production side<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>multiple back-and-forth exchanges between the verifier and the producer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-0175198b\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">Result: very quickly, a verification that was initially supposed to take just a few rounds stretches out, <strong>and lead times start to drift<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vers-une-autre-maniere-de-produire-des-fdes\" style=\"padding-top:40px\"><strong><strong><strong>Towards a new way of producing FDES<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-neve-link-hover-color-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-neve-link-hover-color-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-faf49c3e\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text\"> <strong>Today, this model has reached its limits<\/strong> :<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Going faster by putting more pressure on internal teams is not a sustainable solution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relying solely on outsourcing does not always ensure lead times are met<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verification will always remain a mandatory step, no matter what.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">In other words, the problem is not just <strong>speed<\/strong>, but <strong>how FDES are produced<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-e648f106\"><p class=\"uagb-heading-text translation-block\">When <strong>we look in detail at the various steps<\/strong>, from carrying out the LCA to publishing in the INIES database, <strong>we see the same difficulties<\/strong> recurring consistently:<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-right:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>many manual tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repeated calculations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a heavy reliance on scarce profiles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bottlenecks throughout the process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">It is precisely to <strong>address these limitations<\/strong> that <strong>FDES configurators<\/strong> have emerged.<br>Not as a magic solution, but as a different way of organising FDES production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">By <strong>structuring data<\/strong>, <strong>assumptions<\/strong> and <strong>calculation rules<\/strong> upstream, they enable a <strong>deep transformation<\/strong> of key steps in the process, <strong>reducing human workload<\/strong> and <strong>securing lead times<\/strong>, <strong>without compromising on quality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-55ce8c32
