Product range EPDs

Objective:
to represent the average environmental impact of a group of similar products. It allows LCA data to be consolidated and provides simplified information during the early stages of a project.

Target audience:
Primarily intended for architects, engineering consultancies, and specifiers who require benchmark data to compare solutions or guide their initial decisions.

Individual EPDs

Objective:
Precisely quantify the environmental impact of a specific product. It enables the integration of detailed data into Life Cycle Assessments and regulatory calculations, whilst highlighting the performance of a given product.

Target audience:
It is aimed at design offices in advanced project phases, demanding clients and specifiers carrying out precise technical comparisons.

Our process for EPD development

Initial meeting with the client: We begin with a discussion to understand your needs, the type of product involved, and your objectives regarding LCA and EPD. This step allows us to frame the project and define expectations and applicable PCRs.
Preparation and submission of the quotation: We prepare a detailed quotation, including the type of EPD (product group or individual), the scope of the study, and the proposed timeline.
Quotation approval and kick-off meeting: After review, the client may accept or decline the quotation. Acceptance formally launches the project. We then organize a meeting to clearly define the scope of the study.

Preparation of the data collection file:  We prepare a structured file to collect all the information required for the LCA: raw materials, manufacturing processes, transport, end-of-life scenarios, etc.
Support for data collection:  We guide the client through the data collection process to ensure completeness and accuracy. This step is essential to obtain reliable results.
Validation of the data collection file: We review the file to ensure the consistency and balance of flows (mass balance check). This allows any errors to be corrected prior to modelling. This step is iterative.

Life cycle modelling: The validated data is integrated into our expert software to carry out a complete life cycle assessment of the product.
Export and validation of results: The results are exported and presented to the client for validation. This step ensures that the indicators align with expectations and accurately reflect the product.
